Men - Is Your Shaving Cream Making You Impotent?

!±8± Men - Is Your Shaving Cream Making You Impotent?

This information is specifically for men and the women who love them.

We spend hours in the stores during the holiday season looking for the perfect gift for our wonderful man or woman in our lives. The shelves are loaded with every kind of indulgence including top colognes, perfumes, and shaving kits in handsome Dopp bags. As we search for what on the surface looks to be the most thoughtful and considerate gift, we are in fact choosing the most non-suspect murder weapon available on the open market today. What? Yeah, in fact, cosmetics or toiletries with deadly and harmful chemicals are more dangerous than a crazy man with a gun. That's right! The government standards are so low when it comes to the beauty and cosmetics industry that manufacturers are making products laden with toxic chemicals and consumers are experiencing the brunt of their irresponsibility by suffering through cancers and other illnesses.

There are thousands of cosmetic and hygienic products on the market today. While consumers are becoming more aware of the harmful chemicals being put into cosmetics, they are still under-educated about the harmful health related issues that are resulting from their use. This information is to help you make more informed choices when you select your man or woman's favorite cologne perfume, etc. etc. etc.

MEN

Are you aware that 71% of all products you use for hygienic care such as colognes, shave creams and gels, and body lotions have carcinogenic chemicals in them?

Are you aware that the health repercussions of these products include declining sperm count and testicular cancer and prostate cancer?

Are you aware that these chemicals can also cause impotency and testicular atrophy - in other words - a shrinking penis?

Are you aware that every time you use a drugstore brand shaving cream or gel, you are potentially killing your reproductive organs?

There is an army of harmful chemicals in deodorants, shaving creams, shampoos, and body lotions. Shaving cream ingredients basically consist of stearic acid [hardening agent for soaps and deodorants], lanolin, polyoxythylene sorbitan monostearate [sweeting agent], water, glycerine, treithanolamine and perfumes. It is the perfumes that are guarded by the manufacturers.

Below is a brief description of some of the ingredients and their health impact on men:

Lanolin

The majority of lanolin used in cosmetics is highly contaminated with organo-phosphate pesticides and insecticides. Has been linked to prostate cancer.

Triethanolamine - TEA (Triethanolamine) Laureth Sulfate

A synthetic emulsifier. Highly acidic. Over 40% of cosmetics containing Triethanolamine (TEA), have been found to be contaminated with nitrosamines, which are potent cancer causing chemicals.

BUYER BEWARE

Scientists have shown that these chemicals can damage the male reproductive system. Every part of the male sexual organ can be affected: prostate gland, testes, epididymus, seminal vesicals, and the penis itself.

DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), & TEA (triethanolamine)

Often used in cosmetics to adjust the pH, and used with many fatty acids to convert acid to salt (stearate), which then becomes the base for a cleanser. TEA causes allergic reactions including eye problems, dryness of hair and skin, and could be toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time.

While it is nearly impossible to eliminate the use of every harmful product we have come to know and love, being more aware gives us options to choose products that are not going to kill us or our reproductive organs consumers have made tremendous sacrifices to look and feel good, they should not have to compromise their health to do so.

Waxing Treatments, A Guide to After Care

!±8± Waxing Treatments, A Guide to After Care

Hair removal by waxing requires special after care:

Wear loose clothing after treatment, this prevents the skin from becoming irritated after waxing. It also ensures clothing does no rub against the skin follicles which have been emptied by the waxing process. The hairs have a blood supply at the base and therefore removing them compromises the protective barrier provided by your skin for a few hours. Care must be taken to protect your skin at this time from irritation and infection.

Avoid sun exposure, deodorant, hot showers/baths, chlorinated pools, massage, sun tanning, vigorous exercise, spas and saunas for 24 hours. This all prevents the skin from heating up and prolonging any irritation from the hair removal process.

Avoid makeup after facial waxing for 24-48 hours. Do not apply fake tan for 24 hours. Keep your skin clean and as sweat free as possible. Try to avoid touching the skin after waxing as everybody's hands have the potential to carry bacteria. This reduces the risk of bacteria entering the skin which may lead to infection, commonly seen as spots a few days after waxing treatments.

After 2 days use a scrub on the skin to remove dead skin cells and debris; this will minimise ingrown hairs. Continue this process twice weekly. Use moisturizer daily. This keeps the skin soft which helps the hairs to grow through the hair follicle rather than becoming ingrown. Hairs are often finer after waxing and need to pass through the follicle when they regrow therefore clean moisturised skin will help prevent ingrowing hairs. Apply antiseptic lotion to any ingrown hairs that may appear. (e.g. Tea Tree)

Waxing may cause redness which usually subsides after 24 hours. If the reaction persist please speak to your pharmacist as persistent redness is a sign of an allergic response. Speak to your therapists about this before you next see them as they can patch test other wax products on your skin to find out if one suits you.

Waxing treatments do not damage the skin in the way shaving or chemical hair removal can. If after care advise is followed then any redness after waxing will quickly subside leaving smooth soft hair free skin for weeks.

The Main Event Episode 83 Thymes Bath & Body

Thymes has many bath & body collections that feature one fragrance. In each collection, they tailor the packaging and products to the fragrance. For example, Kimono Rose and Moonflower have rollerball perfumes to attract a younger audience while the Goldleaf perfume is in a feminine perfume bottle. The soap for Eucalyptus is glycerin and translucent for the shower while the soap for Kimono Rose and Goldleaf are packaged as a 2-bar gift box in a more dainty size for a powder room. The Thymes Goldleaf Collection designed for a more mature audience with an old-fashioned floral fragrance. Goldleaf has been in the Thymes offering for several decades. It has a loyal fan base and the packaging is lovely. The perfume bottle for Goldleaf is very feminine and the 2-bar soap set makes a perfect hostess gift. Kimono Rose was created to attract a younger generation of floral fans. It's a flirty and fun floral and the rollerball perfume is great for young girls just getting into perfume or anyone that is looking for a playful scent. While light-hearted, Kimono Rose is highly fragrant in all products including the candle and body lotion. I love how the packaging resembles origami. Moonflower is a charismatic amber fragrance with cinnamon, clove and sugared quince, myrtle leaves, rich mahogany, dark amber and smooth cognac. This is a great soothing and sensual fragrance. I love how the rollerball perfume and body lotion have a little bit of glitter. Nothing like a little shimmer and a ...
